Ford Falcon 190
1989 Ford Falcon Model 190 self-contained class B camper van built by Invertec on a Ford E-250 Super Duty Extended Chassis. The motorhome runs good and all the major components work great (no leaks, tire, engine, brake or electrical problem) except for the generator. I had the generator running this summer, it is a quiet digital generator with new carburetor and new electronic module but needs a battery and ignition regulator. The van has a Windsor 5.8 liter V-8 engine and a C6 workhorse transmission (van weight is 9,700lbs, therefore the mileage is 9-10mpg on highway, not 14mpg like some claim). The coach features a furnace, roof top and dash A/C, hot water heater, fresh water tank and grey and black water tanks. It has been professionally re-upholstered 5 years ago (new captain chairs, bed & trims), it has a sofa that folds out into a bed to sleep 2 adults, wood flooring, a rear bathroom with a wet toilet, sit down tub & shower, and great storage. The refrigerator runs three way, 115v shore, 12v or LP. There is a 13" TV and a digital converter and a 360 degree pre-amplified antenna. The van has a large over-the-cab bed with mattress that can accommodate 3 children or 2 extra adults. Two dinning tables with 3 floor positions which is great for eating. The windows have privacy tinting. It has 2 windshield covers (one interior, one exterior for longer stays) to block out the light when you are parked. The van interior is clean and well taken care of. We are a non-smoking household. Both front seats rotate to be used as a chair when the unit is parked.
The coach has a skylight vent with 2 speed fan, water filters (one at hose, one at sink), 110volt converter, smoke and CO2 alarms, many reading lamps, LED outdoor porch lamp, bumper winch, fog lights, new shore to coach power converter, refrigerator has been rebuilt, new water pump, new toilet, power shower head, coach battery disconnect, toaster oven and microwave, set of orange leveling chocks. On the negative side: the indicator panel for black & grey level is unreliable (needs new sensors), 2 drawers have water damage (drawer sides) something leaked in the drawers but they still function. Minor water leak on bottom below refrigerator (from thawing ice). The front air bag suspension passenger side has a slow leak (does not affect the spring suspension or driving) it is a small air valve like a tire valve that needs replacement so you can level coach left to right when parked.
The motorhome has one large awning on the passenger side and a window awning on the driver side plus a new white "Add-a-Room" as you can see in the picture. The van is set up with dual hitches (Reese) to pull a car or a trailer. It also has an electric radiator fan, oversize transmission cooler, oversize radiator (2015) and heavy duty suspension. There is a convenient canoe/kayak rack on top. New transmission (2016) and Michelin tires with about 7000 miles of wear. This is a great motor home that is nice to drive and easy to park and maneuver around. You can use it for camping, as a van for groceries or to haul. Unfortunately, it is just too small for our family now.
