350 V8 Small Block
Although most are familiar with the production and body style of the 1946-1947 Ford Pickup, most people don't realize that Ford also produced pickups in 1945 after WWII. Only approx. 19,000 were built world wide and if you purchased one in the U.S., you either had to be a government contractor or a farmer, which made it rare to own. From my understanding, it only came in one color, green, with a cream color waterfall grille!
1945 Ford Body on a 1975 Chevy Frame w/ a 350 Chevy Small Block V8. When i acquired the truck, much of the work that is listed below had been done according to service records and docs (prior owner was a mechanic). My part is that we put in a new interior, did some paint touch up, and detailed the vehicle. This truck is a driver, but can be a truck for someone who wants to take it to the next level. It does need some body work here and there and the dashboard could use some updates, but what a great little find!
Here are some of the things that the records show have been done to the truck!
Edlebrock 4bbl carb., rebuilt & tuned, new spark plugs & wires, new distributor cap & rotor, new ignition control module, new serp. belt, new alternator, all new fuel filters & air filter, drum brakes all around, tires are in good shape, LT tires in rear. The truck bed has been painted black and comes with a large tool box which is a nice touch.
